This program is geared toward players ages U6 through U11, grades Kindergarten through 5. 

Each year, the Oak Park River Forest Strikers’ Soccer Club offers special soccer skills training programs during the late summer, fall, winter and spring for young players who are not on a Strikers traveling soccer team. There are no tryouts or cuts.  The program is for young players who wish to learn more about soccer, develop their skills and have fun. The professional coaches (licensed & certified) of the Oak Park River Forest Strikers Soccer Club provide the training.

2011 "Back to School" Summer Camp:  

When: Monday – Friday, August 15-19 from 4-5:30PM. OPRF Strikers retains the right to move a group to another time slot based upon registration numbers. Parents will be notified of any changes before the first session.

Where: Lindberg Park in Oak Park on Greenfield between Marion and Woodbine.  The park is one block south of North Avenue and one block east of Harlem

Cost: $100 per player. T-shirts provided to all summer camp participants. Note: If, due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., lightning, inclement weather) a session is not conducted, or, if your child cannot attend for a particular session(s), there is no refund.

When: Fridays, September 2nd through October 21st (8 sessions) from 4-5PM. OPRF Strikers retains the right to move a group to another time slot based upon registration numbers. Parents will be notified of any changes before the first session.

 2012 WINTER INDOOR SESSION:

When: Sundays, January 8 through March 18 (11 sessions) between noon and 6pm. OPRF Strikers retains the right to move a group to another time slot based upon registration numbers. Parents will be notified by email of any changes before the first session.  Specific times by age group will be available 11/1/11.

Where: School gyms in Oak Park. Specific location information will be determined based on enrollment and will be emailed to participants before the first session. 

Cost: $200 per player.  T-shirts provided to participants. Note: If, due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., school gym schedule change, inclement weather) a session is not conducted, or, if your child cannot attend a particular session(s), there is no refund.

Where: Thatcher Woods located off of Chicago Ave. just west of Thatcher Ave. Going west on Chicago Ave. turn right just past the Thatcher traffic light and follow the winding road to the field.

REGISTRATION & OTHER INFO:

Registration is now available online.   OPRF Strikers accepts checks and Discover, Mastercard and Visa credit cards. No phone applications. This is a first-come, first-served program. Please read through the flyer found on this site. You will be contacted by email for acceptance and session time and location details.

Applications that arrive after an age group is filled will be placed on a wait list, and refunds will be issued if a spot does not open up.
