Way to go, U10 girls and U13 girls -- both teams ran the table with perfect records to win their brackets at the Schaumburg Soccerfest August 23-24, 2008.

The Under-13 Orange girls shut out the Lemont Raiders and Arlington Aces 3-0 apiece behind goalkeepers Erin Schrobilgen and Emma Dunne and defenders Gabrielle Barkidjija, Hannah Silverman, Elena Abrams and Meredith Blatner. The Strikers advanced to the championship with a 4-2 win over Schaumburg Tsunami led by Mara Logerquist, before shutting out the Hinsdale Hawks 7-0 in the title game. Seven players scored goals in the tournament, including Tess Trinka (4), Dunne and Natalie Blamires with 3 each, Caroline Coughlan and Isabella Escalona with 2 each, Schrobilgen, and Lauren Wilkes. Players assisting goals included Wren Osler, Ruby Gonzales, Kate Spittle, Kristen Laibel and Tess Saraceno to close out regulation play and advance to the championship.

The Under-10 Orange girls were also perfect, defeating Johnsburg 5-4, McHenry Vipers 2-0, and Glen Ellyn Raiders 5-0 in the regular bracket, with three goals each scored by Grace Huettel, Quinn Berleman-Paul and Ella Rossa, and one each by Gianna Guerino, Ellie Mann and Sydney Lupo. In the championship game, Strikers defeated Crystal Lake Premier 2-1 as Berleman-Paul and Corrine Joss scored.

The Under-11 Orange girls were runners-up in their group, making the championship final wih a thrilling 2-0 win over Glen Ellyn Raiders before falling to Ela Blue in the final.
