The Under-8 and Under-9 Orange boys teams from Oak Park-River Forest Strikers won their Northern Illinois Soccer League fall 2008 division championships, both with 9-1 records.

The U8 boys won the Silver North division, outscoring their opponents 47 to 9 for the season behind coach Elliot Grey. Every player on the team contributed to the scoring, including Brody Bliss, Misha Barkidjija, Grant Kindler (who scored a hat trick), Zak Vergotine (also a hat trick), Simon Miller, Matthew Hawthorne, Jacob Sklar, Tomas Senk and Ryan Jackson (9 goals for the season).

The U9 boys won the Bronze North division. Scoring and strong

contributions were spread across the team, which included Ben Srajer, Joe Pickering (hat trick), T.J. Hager, Joey Reyes, Jacob Sajdera (two hat tricks), Max Wigfield, Bobby Iwashima, Stone Conner (hat trick), Cameron Duncan, Finnr Elsmo, Sam Klevgard and Nathan Sykes (9 goals for the season). The boys outscored their opponents by 53 goals for to 28 goals against. The team was led by coach Murray Findlay, the Strikers' overall Director of Coaching.
