Three-year Strikers goalkeeper Anita Balciunas recently signed a letter of intent to play for the Saint Xavier University Cougars in Chicago. Anita was the starting goalkeeper on the undefeated Strikers u17 team coached by Renee Vai two years ago, and in 2008 and 2009 was the standout goalkeeper on the Strikers "A" level U19 team. She will graduate from Riverside-Brookfield H.S. this spring and plans to major in special education. 

" Anita has been outstanding in our program," said Strikers Director of Coaching Murray Findlay, "and I know she will be a terrific player at Saint Xavier." 

Fifteen players from the Strikers girls high school program have gone on to play college soccer in recent years at the Division I or III levels.
