The OPRF Strikers U18 girls soccer team finished runners-up at the Disney Soccer Showcase in Orlando over Presidents Day weekend, falling just short, 1-0, against Celtic Storm Premier, a top team from Utah, in the final.

Earlier, the Strikers defeated FC America from Florida 1-0 and took a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Cayman Islands National team behind Alex Hammond's game-winning goal. The Caymanians were preparing for their CONCACAF International games against the national teams from the USA, Mexico and Canada. Strikers Director of Coaching Murray Findlay, who coached the team in Florida, said "I am very proud of the girls not only for their performance on the field but also for their exemplary behavior off it. It was a great way to end the season by a fine team." The Strikers U17 team, coached by Renee Vai, had a solid showing in their Disney bracket, winning one out of three games.
