The Oak Park-River Forest Strikers boys U12 team went undefeated to win the championship of the top bracket at the Hinsdale Hawks Cup on May 8-9. Strikers Izzy Coronado, Will Dunne, David Senk and Matt Kleinkopf led the scoring, as the Strikers defeated Bartlett Hawks 5-1, Legends 3-1 and Typhoons 2-0 to win a spot in the championship round. In the final, the Strikers defeated highly-rated Spartans FC 2-1 for the championship. The boys are coached by Strikers Director of Coaching Murray Findlay and assistant Steve Gillman.
