The Strikers and River Forest Rapids will again co-sponsor the OPRF One boys’ high school program for 2011-12. The key features are:

• A unified program that brings together the best players in the area, whether they played youth soccer with Rapids, Strikers, or elsewhere. By getting lots of touches together, OPRF One players will improve as a group and prepare to play at top levels of club and high school soccer.
• Our flagship team will be a U17 Select team. This will allow a nucleus of current juniors and sophomores (and possibly a few freshmen) to jell as a team throughout the winter and spring as they prepare for the fall 2012 varsity season.
• We expect to field two additional teams once again including a U18 team, and possibly more depending on tryout numbers.
• Director of Coaching Murray Findlay will work with an integrated coaching staff drawing on top coaches from the Strikers and Rapids programs.
