This program is geared toward players ages U7 through U11, grades
1 through 5. Please see Each year, the Oak Park River Forest Strikers’ Soccer Club offers a special soccer skills training program during the fall, winter and spring for young players who are not on a strikers traveling soccer team. There are no tryouts or cuts. In the fall, the program is usually an 8-week program (similar to a weekly camp), held after school or in the early eve at a soccer field in either Oak Park or River Forest. In the winter, January to March, the program is held inside a local school gymnasium, usually on a Sunday afternoon or early eve, but could be on a week night or Saturday. This winter program usually runs for 10 to 11 weeks. For spring, the program is the same as for fall – an 8-week program held in Oak Park or River Forest. The program is for young players who wish to learn more about soccer, develop their skills and have fun. The professional coaches (licensed & certified) of the Oak Park River Forest Strikers Soccer Club provide the training. REGISTRATION & OTHER INFO: Registration is done by mail only. Applications are processed by postmark date. OPRF Strikers accepts checks and cannot take credit cards. No phone applications. This is a first-come, first-served program. Please read through the flyer and application found on this site. Please keep a copy of the flyer for important dates and information. You will be contacted by email for acceptance and details of which school, time slot, etc. your child will be assigned.
IN ORDER TO APPLY YOU WILL NEED?
Fill out a separate registration form & Medical Release form for EACH child applying and send with your check made out to OPRF Strikers Soccer to our post office address on the form. Please send a separate check for EACH child’s application. Example: do not write one check for two children. One child may get in and the other not, based on openings and age group. Do write your child’s first & last name on the “note” section of the check + “ACORN" WAITING
